Dear all,
I hope the "reading and blogging practice" makes writing essays easier for you all. Research says that regimenting reading and writing (mostly daily) helps your ideas flow more abundantly. Then we only need to continue the work on organization and language use (accuracy and creativity) when revising and polishing our drafts.
For tomorrow, I will still start from 'sharing' or 'show and tell' (e.g., a quote, a short passage, a song, etc.) for the first hour. I have done some demonstrations and hope you will take it from there. Please boldly raise your hand and come up the stage to do the sharing.
Then we'll step into the Narration section, which is also about the time we prepare our first video making. We'll read sample essays, discuss, and see some videos created by your seniors. Each semester, I found stories so well written and shown in well-designed videos. I believe you'll only do better! But no worries, no pressure!
Remember to bring your first draft of essay 1. You'll practice peer review by exchanging your drafts and commenting on your friends' writing. We'll respect each one's story sincerely and give feedback only to help each other improve.
If time allows, we'll view more videos and analyze them.
