Lucy's world

Hello, everyone! This is Lucy, a shy and chubby girl. But whenever I am over the moon, my laughing sound can always be ear-splitting. Indeed, I love smiling and laughing, which is the fast way to break the gap between each other and the best way to light up the atmosphere. Before entering college, every day was all the same to me. The regular schedule would be study and study, which was the most significant dream of joining NTUST. Therefore, the experiences I have gained from this world were so few that the desire to see the outside world and try new things is overwhelming. I am just like a bird that longs for freedom. However, when I was a junior at NTUST, I started to join clubs and various kinds of activities to become more confident and make up the missing part in my life. And now, the second year comes, things seem to lose control. The schedule is not only about studying anymore, but also other essential things that fill the day. Thus, managing time has become the most urgent thing I have to learn.

Reading History

Since my elder sister was born, my parents bought many storybooks and history books that young children could easily understand. They hoped that we could learn to read and make it a rule in our life because they believe reading is the best way to help kids grow up. Thus, those books were left for me until I was born. As a kid, the influence that a story could bring has already been planted in my mind. It can bring me imagination. It can bring me to another world. It can make me be mentally in the scene. Nevertheless, when I am getting older, the opportunity to read is less and less, making me gradually forget the joy that books can bring me. But I am willing to read since taking a glimpse of others' life stories and having a different perspective about people can help me reflect on what happened in my life. 

Interests

Playing basketball or watching movies helps me get away from this world if the time is available. Since playing basketball can enjoy the atmosphere of teamwork, nothing can distract you from the ball. Your thoughts and eyes all focus on the team and ball, which is far from the experience of reading, except for one thing, focusing. On the other hand, watching a movie also can bring people into the scene, the plot, and the emotion. Make people withdraw from reality because they follow the flow intensely, just like a spirit without a physical body in an unbreakable world. Surprisingly, both of them need focus, and maybe it is the beauty of focusing that attracts me. 

Expectations

Knowing that this course will mainly focus on reading and writing, the ability to describe things that can make people's eyes glued to my articles should be leveled up. The ability to organize should be improved since writing must need lots of logic and elaboration to make articles orderly consistent. What's more, by this course, the number of times that I can read will be increased to fetch up my window period of reading. Therefore, for this course, I will spend my time reading and reflecting and make every effort to manage time instead of prioritizing my interests. Neither a reader nor a writer, I hope this course can help me think logically, teach me what I have missed in writing, and point out my drawbacks to make me improve.

In a nutshell, there are a lot of challenges waiting for me, and I also expect to see myself become a better person after this course.
